In Kawaii Deathu Desu, supernatural beings find themselves incarnated as cute japanese idols! Halfway between cute and terrifying, these hellish idols start a competition that spans the world with a singular goal; to decide who can claim the throne of the underworld. What type of competition will this be, however? Kawaii Deathu Desu has you play a cute Japanese idol with a secret supernatural power used to beat off your hordes of fans and take their souls. It’s very much a mobile-type game as incredibly simple where the only variables are the character roster and backdrops. What type of competition will this be, however? As beings of the underworld, the next to inherit the throne will be determined by whoever can collect the most souls from faithful followers. With that in mind, as idols, there’s no better way to victory than mowing your own fans at shows!

For fans of fast-paced beat’em ups, you’ll feel right at home here. Pick a supernatural idol and beat the hell out of – no pun intended – as many overzealous fans as you can.

Gamplay takes inspiration from the likes of One Finger Death Punch, with character-specific styles depending on which idol you decide to play as. Players select a character to perform in a wide variety of venues, execute unique abilities and beat up overzealous fans as they rush the stage. Using collected souls, each pixel art idol’s appearance can also be customized.

Nintendo Switch version launching on April 16th


Hong Kong - March 31, 2020 – Independent developer and publisher, Eastasiasoft Limited, today announced that the fast-paced beat’em up Kawaii Deathu Desu from co-publisher Top Hat Studios and developer Pippin Games will launch for Nintendo Switch on the Nintendo eShop on April 16th. Digital pre-load will begin on April 9th. Kawaii Deathu Desu will be priced at US$4.99/€4.99. Early birds can enjoy a 20% launch discount until April 29th.
